NPCC student athletes earn academic honors

 

 

Alexa Hopping of Sutherland, a student and volleyball player at North Platte Community College, received an Academic Region IX award in recognition of achieving a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Hopping, the daughter of Troy and Missy Hopping, has a 3.37 GPA. She is a math major at NPCC.

 

 

 

Kaitlin Luikens of Scottsbluff, a student and volleyball player at North Platte Community College, received an Academic Region IX award in recognition of achieving a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Luikens, the daughter of Ron and Jan Luikens, has a 4.0 GPA. In addition to academic honors, she was presented with the Academic Excellence Award by the NPCC Lady Knights Volleyball Team.

 

 

 

Jordan Smith of Loup City, a graduate of North Platte Community College, received Academic Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference and Academic Region IX awards in recognition of completing at least 30 credit hours with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. She was also named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Distinguished Academic All-American for earning a 3.8 GPA or higher. Smith, the daughter of Les Smith and Christy Bochart, has a 3.82 GPA. In addition to academic honors, she earned All-Conference and Region IX honors.

 

 

 

Terra Bishop of Hayes Center, a graduate of North Platte Community College, received Academic Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference and Academic Region IX awards in recognition of completing at least 30 credit hours with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. She was also named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Distinguished Academic All-American for earning a 3.8 GPA or higher. Bishop, the daughter of Gregg and Jeanne Bishop, has a 3.95 GPA. In addition to academic honors, she earned All-Conference honors and was presented with the Academic Excellence Award by the NPCC Lady Knights Volleyball Team.

 

 

 

Setera Michaels of North Platte, a graduate of North Platte Community College, received Academic Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference and Academic Region IX awards in recognition of completing at least 30 credit hours with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. She was also named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Academic All-American for earning a 3.6 GPA or higher.Michaels, the daughter of Pam Michaels and Lance Michaels, has a 3.6 GPA. In addition to academic honors, she earned All-Conference, All-Region IX, and All-Region IX Tournament Team honors. She was also named second team All-American.

 

 

 

Erica Brown of Hershey, a student and volleyball player at North Platte Community College, received Academic Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference and Academic Region IX awards in recognition of achieving a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Brown, the daughter of Eric and Jackie Brown, has a 3.67 GPA. In addition to academic honors, she received All-Region IX and All-Region IX Tournament Team honors.

 

 

 

 

Shaylee Salyards of Haxtun, Colo., a student and volleyball player at North Platte Community College, received an Academic Region IX award in recognition of completing at least 30 credit hours with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Salyards, the daughter Mike and Susan Salyards, has a 3.50 GPA.

 

 

 

Kara Crawford of North Platte, a graduate of North Platte Community College, received Academic Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference and Academic Region IX awards in recognition of completing at least 30 credit hours with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Crawford, the daughter of Pete Crawford and Jackie Crawford, has a 3.38 GPA. She served as the Student Assistant for the NPCC Lady Knights Volleyball Team.
