Mid-Plains Community Colleges Athletics
Mid-Plains Community College is a participating member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference (NCCAC)

All full-time students are welcome and encouraged to compete for a position on any of our athletic teams. Most of our teams offer open tryout periods for those interested in competing at the college level. However, please contact the individual sport coach for complete details and recruitment procedures.

Congratulations to the Knights and Lady Knights basketball teams on their recent success. Both teams are played Tuesday, Mar 10th for a trip to the national tournament in their respective sports.

 

In Council Bluffs, the Lady Knights played against Kirkwood CC from Iowa. The Lady Knights dropped a 54-81 decision to Kirkwood Community the two time defending National Champion who is currently ranked #1 in the NJCAA Women's Division II poll. Congratulations to the Lady Knights on an outstanding season.

 

In Sterling, CO, the Knights played Lamar Community College in the Region IX Championship game. The Knights dropped a heartbreaker in a well played game 63-61. The Knights are to be equally congratulated on a great season. A reception to honor both teams will be held next week on campus, details will follow.
